About Us
Since opening in New York in 1982, the gallery’s mission has been to present the work of European masters to an American audience, as well as to introduce the work of younger international painters, sculptors, and photographers. The gallery has a particular specialty in the great painters working in France during the early postwar period, including Nicolas de Staël, Maria Helena Vieira da Silva, Pierre Soulages, Jean Dubuffet, Serge Poliakoff, Zao Wou-Ki, and Hans Hartung. Among the younger artists the gallery has had the pleasure of representing have been Jean-Pierre Pincemin, Gérard Titus-Carmel, Charles Belle, Lester Johnson, Rakuko Naito, Dominique Evrard and Paul Wallach.
